Description: Binding - 16th-century white pigskin over wooden boards made by an unknown binder, tooled in blind. On both covers two closely spaced frames of multiple lines. The outer one contains rectangular images of David and Goliath with captions: "David Sch//Legt Goli//Ath Den Ri; 1540 Goliath D//Er Philist//Er Hauptm." (Haebler p. 14), the next some roses and Aldine flowers. In the centre several pinecone tools (or so called pomegranat fruit) in the vertical strips. Furniture consisting of brass corners pieces, one clasp with the catch and remains of the second one. Impressions and nail holes of centre and corner bosses.
