Notes: French? 16th/early 17th-century brown goatskin; gold-tooled fillet in triplicate towards outer edges of boards, with armorial centrepiece set within a wreath: eschutcheon French style, fess azure, crescent and three roses; gold-tooled monogram on spine, combining letters F[or E] T[or I]S V N; gold-tooled fillet on board edges; gilt text-block edges. Pink silk bookmark.
