Notes: The previous owner of the book was the Dutch physician Petrus Tulpius (Pieter Tulp; 1618 - 1645), son of the renowned surgeon and mayor of Amsterdam Nicolaas Tulp (1593 - 1674). He acquired the book in 1642, three years before he died (see https://pda.cerl.org/id/cerlpda_0227e). Petrus' sister Catharina (1622 - 1664) married physician Arnout Tholinx (1607 - 1679) in 1648. It would appear that at some point after Petrus's death the book came into possession of a member of the Tholinx family (possibly Arnout and Catharina' eldest son, Hendrik Tholinx [1649 - 1684], renowned jurist and lawyer[?]) before it was gifted to Isaac van Swanenburg, the Dutch jurist and lawyer born 1618 (?)
